Foreign Internship for doctoral students

Second year doctoral students of the specialty «8D01201-Preschool education and upbringing» of Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai KazNPU passed a month overseas training in Gazi University in Ankara (Turkey) from November 28, 2022. During the internship, they worked directly with foreign advisors on research topics, discussed issues related to their dissertation work, and improved their knowledge by attending lectures by Turkish professors.

Doctoral students regularly worked at the Ankara Presidential National Library, Gazi University Library Centre to gather material on the topic of their research.

On November 29, the doctoral students visited the research kindergarten opened at Gazi University. They were introduced to the work of this pre-school. The director, Ayşe Dilek Özçelik, gave a detailed presentation of the pre-school education system in Turkey.

On December 7, they attended a lecture by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Academician, Chairman of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Germany Askarbek Kussainov, the founder of comparative pedagogy in Kazakhstan, on «Scientific and practical foundations for quality improvement in rural schools». During the lecture, McKinsey&Company researchers M. Barber and M. Murshed presented the research and factors that play an important role in improving the quality of education.

At the end of the internship, the Vice-Chancellor of Gazi University, Professor Yugel Gelishli presented certificates to doctoral students.
