Minister of Education of RK met with the staff of Abai University

Today, on 24th of February 2023, Minister of Education of RK Gani Beisenbayev met with a staff of Abai University.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Darkhan Bilyalov spoke about educational, research activities and strategy of further development of the university. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects with schools, including new generation schools.

The minister toured the classroom named after professor G.A.Umanov, opened with support from the family of the famous scholar and teacher, then the Abai Student Center, equipped with the latest equipment and necessary materials to support young people. Gani Beisenbayev noted the importance of such centres, which help students to realise the most daring ideas, develop interesting projects and start-ups, promote education and science, increase human potential and support young people. He also met with students and faculty of the university. They discussed priority tasks in the field of education, the quality of training and education of students, increasing the prestige of Kazakhstani teachers. These measures provide great starting opportunities for young teachers.

During the meeting the Minister paid attention to the questions of transformation of Kazakhstan education system into the world brand, increase of value of the pedagogical education concept, creation of strong base of teachers and personnel reserve of school principals, training of strong personnel from among young teachers, formation of specialists with high pedagogical ethics, strengthening of state language status, creation of conditions for schools and national libraries. Noting the work being done in the direction of creation of conditions for libraries and providing them with scientific, pedagogical, methodical tools, introduction of effective innovations in educational programs and standards, methodical recommendations, development of inclusive education system, requirements for authors of school textbooks.

At the meeting, students and teachers asked questions and offered their ideas on improving the system of secondary education.

Gani Beisenbayev noted the high scientific and educational potential of Kazakhstan`s first university and thanked the teachers for training of highly qualified teachers for the whole country.

It should be recalled that the country`s first higher education institution, Abai KazNPU, is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year.
