Intellectual game "The smartest" among students of Almaty

On April 5, 2023 senior lecturer of the Department of "World History" of the Institute of History and Law A. Shormanova within the Decade of Science-2023 intellectual game "The smartest" was held between students of universities of Almaty. The event was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Abai KazNPU and the 85th anniversary of the Department of World History.

The participants of the game were 1st-3rd year students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Turan University, D.A. Kunayev Eurasian Law Academy and Abai KazNPU. As a result of the Prologue qualifying round, 9 of them were admitted to the main game. The students, having familiarised themselves with all conditions, tried to answer historical and logical questions of each track. The main goal of intellectual game - an olympiad format Umniki i Umnitsy (Clever and Smart) (for the first time among Almaty students) is to support the young generation, enhance the interest to history and science in general, increase the level of education and competitiveness, develop critical thinking and unlock scientific and professional potential of the youth.

The participants were addressed by the head of the Department of World History Rustem K.M., Deputy Director for Science Muratkazin M.M., Professor Suteeva H. and Associate Professor of the Department of World History Jainakbaeva G.T. The host of the intellectual game "The smartest" was Ruslan Aitkuzhin, a 1st year master student. According to the results of the game students of Abai KazNPU, Al-Farabi KazNU and D.A. Kunayev Eurasian Law Academy took the prize-winning places, others received certificates of participation.
