VII international aitys of young poets "Menin pirim -Suyinbay"

The traditional VII international aitys of young poets "Menin pirim - Suyinbai" was held, organized by the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai and the theater of traditional art Alatau, with the sponsorship of the public fund "ASSYLTAS".

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of KazNPU named after Abay, on April 7, 2023, the traditional VII international aitys of young poets "Menin pirim - Suyinbay" was held, about forty poets, including poets from China, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, competed in aitys.

The event was solemnly opened by the founder of the public fund "ASSYLTAS", a well-known entrepreneur Dulat Tursynuly and vice-rector for social development Nurlanov Shyngys. The poets were distributed by lot during the selection stage of the first day, which took place in the assembly hall of our university. Together, the young poets were able to show an advanced pattern of eloquence. The hall met with stormy applause long-absent akyn Zhursin Yerman, who appreciated the work of young poets. The jury included such connoisseurs of art as Doctor of Philology, Professor Baltabay Abdigaziuly, cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, famous poet Serik Kaliev, poet, deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rinat Zaitov, head of the Ulytau Regional Department of Culture, Development of Languages ​​and Archives Anuar Omar, akyn-aytysker, outstanding cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akhmetzhan Ozbekov.

According to the decision of the jury, 18 poets were sent to the final.

The final stage of the performance in the traditional theater of Alatau began with the solemn words of the rector of the university, Darkhan Bilyalov. The grandfather of Aitys Zhursin Yerman gave a gift to the poets who took the stage. The Minister of Science and Higher Education sent a congratulatory letter to the event, which lasted two days. Minister Sayasat Nurbek wished good luck to the young poets who took part in this aitys and inspired them with his own words: "... The respect of our people for the centuries-old sacred art of aitys is special. This is a noble art left by our ancestors Suinbay and Zhambyl, Birzhan and Sarah, Kempirbay and Shozhe. I believe that the art of aitys, glorifying our national identity and Kazakh values, is a national treasure of an independent generation. The traditional organization of the poetry festival named after our grandfather Suyynbay, whom the writer Mukhtar Auezov considered "the golden pillar of poetic art", will undoubtedly become a great legacy for Kazakh spirituality, which will develop the poetic talent of young people, strengthen the ability to poetry and become the basis for the formation of a poetic school".
