20.04.2023 Professor Noh Kwansu`s workshop
One possible outcome of the Korean specialist`s visit to Abai University is to determine the scope of joint research with Kazakh scientists on IoT (Internet of Things) systems.
The rector, noting the importance of the event, stressed that the economic growth of developed countries is based on technological development. "Using the experience of states such as the US, South Korea and Japan, Kazakhstan is taking consistent steps towards its technological development. However, the first thing we face is a significant shortage of specialists in these areas. Therefore, we are trying to pay great attention to the field of robotics and issues of implementation of STEM-systems in the educational process - said D.Bilyalov.
During the workshop Noh Kwansu spoke about the latest developments at KAIST in the field of artificial intelligence, robotics and cybersecurity. He also led hands-on workshops on programming and artificial intelligence development, which provided forum participants with new skills and knowledge.
It was noted that teaching robotics and STEM in schools in the country faces three major challenges: lack of quality curriculum; shortage of teachers implementing quality curriculum; expensive and unavailable teaching materials. This workshop was very useful for our students and teachers.
Darkhan Bilyalov expressed his gratitude to Professor Noh Kwangs for his visit, the organizers, the general manager of "Elite Education Group International" John Kim, director of LLP "Elite Education Group Kazakhstan" Talgat Igisinov, "KazDual Observatory" at Abai University, noting that such events contribute to the development of scientific potential of the university and its students.
The participants of the workshop expressed their positive feedback on the event and stressed its importance for their future scientific and professional careers.
