Abai University hosted Job Fair-2023

On May 5, 2023 Abai University hosted Job Fair-2023, where representatives of more than 100 educational institutions and professional service organizations of Almaty offered unique job opportunities for young professionals and students. The event was organized by the university`s Careers Centre.

In the academic year 2022/2023, 4108 students will graduate from the university. Of them 3257 students will graduate from the Bachelor`s program (2188 from pedagogical specialties and 1069 from non-pedagogical specialties), 750 from Master`s program and 101 from Doctoral program.

Abai University cooperates with Almaty and other regions. For example, there are 1645 requests for teachers from North Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Almaty, Zhambyl and East Kazakhstan regions. There are also 250 enquiries from public schools in Almaty and Almaty region.

Job fair was opened by Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Gulzhan Jarasova, she emphasized that Abai University creates conditions for the personal and career growth of graduates, and events such as the employers fair are an important component of this work. All activities of Abai University are aimed at creating comfortable conditions for quality education and development of students, which allows them to successfully realize themselves in later life.

During the fair, employers talked about their staffing needs and offered students cooperation for the future and gave advice on career planning and internship opportunities. Students and young professionals learned about current vacancies, candidate requirements, working conditions and career perspectives and were able to establish useful contacts for their future careers, get more specific ideas about job opportunities in their industry and choose the most interesting companies for further cooperation. Overall, the Abai University Employer Fair 2023 was a useful and interesting event for students who aspire to get a decent job in their field.

The event was organized for the purpose of employing students and preparing young professionals to enter the professional environment. The fair was highly appreciated by the participants who expressed interest in further cooperation with Abai University, which will continue to organise similar events. In addition, the university organises job fairs, career seminars and training sessions to help students with job hunting and developing their skills and competencies.
