Meeting with alumni "My University"

It is well known that the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, which has a 95-year history, has united not only Kazakhs, but also representatives of many other ethnic groups living in our country.

In honour of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan and the anniversary of the country`s first university, a reunion of graduates was organised. The celebratory event "My University" was conducted jointly with the chair of Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan and the Alumni Association of the University.

Deputy Chairman of Almaty Korean National Centre, member of APK Georgiy Kan, director of school-lyceum No. 33 Nurlan Aliev, director of school-gymnasium No. 136 named after M. Dulatov Talgar Torekulov, deputy director for educational and methodical work of Institute of Professional Development on Almaty region, branch of "Orleu" Masimova Khurshidam and teachers, holding managerial positions in various educational institutions of the country were present at the meeting.

The event was opened by Chairman of the Board - Rector of the University Darhan Bilyalov. The meeting continued with a colourful concert programme.

Georgy Kan and Talgar Torekulov warmly congratulated all the participants of the meeting and told about the most interesting moments from their student life. In addition, they shared their life experiences with students and gave them useful advice. Then, all those who wished to do so took the floor. Best wishes were given to the native university, its teachers and current students.

During the event were awarded the students who won the scientific conference "GYLYM JANE BILIM-2023", organized by Eurasian National University after L.N. Gumilev together with the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan.
