Scientists and students of the university took part in the international scientific-theoretical conference

Famous scientists and students of the university took part in the international scientific conference "Data Analysis of the History of Kazakhstan: archival funds, epigraphic monuments", organised by the staff of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after R.B.Suleimenov. The event was held on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the famous scientist, founder of foreign historiography of Kazakhstan Koshim Lekeruly Esmagambetov.

Academician M.K.Koigeldiev, professor G.K.Khalidullin and other scientists of our university told about the contribution of the scientist in particular to Shokaev studies.

Aitkul Makhayeva, Professor of the Department of General History of the Institute of History and Law, one of the students of K.L.Esmagambetov, made a report "Professor Koshim Esmagambetov as the founder of foreign historiography of Kazakhstan". She said, "Koshima Lekerula, who was able to win the hearts of many readers, wrote about 500 scholarly articles and a number of books. ...Each work of Koshim Lekeruly, who defended his doctoral thesis on "Foreign historiography of the history of Kazakhstan (from ancient times to the 90s of the twentieth century)", was quickly distributed among readers and it was not easy to find them in bookstores, as all his works were in great demand. Each of his books changed hands and were popular bestsellers. What honour and happiness can be greater for a writer and scientist-historian!... K.L.Esmagambetov was the first to inform Kazakh readers that J.Kennan (George Kennan, 1891) was the first American traveller who made the Western world to know the great Abai. About 70 3rd year students of the Institute of History and Law took part in the online conference and noted that they received a lot of information about the life and activities of the scientist K.L.Esmagambetov, as well as about the scientific works of foreign researchers.
