Teacher`s Day Concert «Ustaz - uly esim» 

On 3 October 2023, Abai University celebrated the upcoming Teachers` Day with a magnificent festive concert «Ustaz - uly esim». The event was held in the hall of the Kazakh Orchestra of National Instruments named after Kurmangazy. This professional holiday is celebrated on 5 October.

The concert was aimed at raising the status and prestige of the teaching profession in society and popularising the tradition of respect for teachers, especially among young people. The event also promoted continuity between the university and schools.

The festive event was opened by the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Abay KazNPU Bolat Tlep, who warmly and sincerely congratulated all participants on the upcoming Teacher`s Day.

«To strengthen the honour, increase respect and dignity of teachers is our duty. Our efforts are aimed at forming a favourable environment for work and study, providing modern teaching technologies and improving the quality of education. This strategic objective is central to Abai University and is the focus of our institution today. We strive to improve our material and technical base and infrastructure to provide comfortable conditions for students and teachers, as well as to support their professional development. I am confident that thanks to the well-coordinated work of the entire staff we will successfully cope with this task,» he said.

During the solemn event 68 teachers of the university and 15 teachers of secondary schools of Almaty who contributed to the development of general education of the country were awarded letters of appreciation and medals.

Gulmira Akurpekova, a graduate of the University and a bright star of Kazakh pop music, as well as talented teachers and students of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports performed at the festive concert.

The participants of the event expressed their gratitude and recognition of the important role of teachers in shaping education and the future of the country.

The concert «Ustaz - uly esim» was a landmark event that emphasised the importance of teachers and their contribution to the education and development of the country, as well as Abai University`s commitment to the future generations of Kazakhstan.
