Rector of Abai University Bolat Tlep met with the Asian Games medallist Esmigul Kuyulova

On October 3, 2023 the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Abai KazNPU Bolat Tlep met with a student of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports, judoist of the national team of Kazakhstan Esmigul Kuyulova, who won bronze medals at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. The meeting was also attended by Zhomart Sagyndykov, a teacher of the Department of Physical Education and Sport, a coach of the highest category in judo and sambo wrestling.

The Rector congratulated Esmigul Kuyulova on her important sporting achievements and noted that her diligence, talent and dedication to sport serve as an example for all students of the University. This meeting emphasises the importance of supporting and developing sporting and creative talents among students of Abai KazNPU.

In recognition of Esmigul`s achievements and support for her sporting career, the university granted her a 100% discount on tuition fees for the 2023-2024 academic year. In addition, she was presented with special gifts from her home university. Zhomart Sagyndykov was presented with image products of the university and special gifts for his services in preparing his students for major competitions.

Esmigul Kuyulova won in the weight category up to 63kg, defeating Uzbekistani Sevinch Isokova to win bronze. This success brought the third medal for Kazakhstan`s judo team at these Games.
