Webinar "Model of teacher education: concepts and approaches in developing an educational program"

On October 16, 2023, in accordance with the plan of the Educational and Methodological Association in the field of education "Pedagogical Sciences" on the basis of Abai KazNPU for the 2023-2024 academic year, a webinar was organized and conducted by the project team in the area of teacher training in natural science subjects (chemistry, biology, geography).

The topic under consideration, "Model of teacher education: concepts and approaches in developing an educational program", is currently relevant for the development of higher pedagogical education in Kazakhstan.
The webinar was attended online and offline by 65 participants, including representatives of Kazakhstan at 15 universities in supervised areas of training, specialists from special and general educational institutions, and developers of educational programs.

The webinar was opened by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai KazNPU Banu Narbekova. The moderator was the head of the project team for the training of geography teachers Albina Beikitova.
At the webinar, speaker Aliya Suleimenova (Associate Director for Academic Quality at Nazarbayev University) discussed the topic "New trends in the design of Educational programs".

Speaker Ruslan Karatabanov (Vice-President National Academy of Education named after Y. Altynsarin) raised the problem of "Design of value-oriented educational programs".

Speaker Rimma Izbasarova (Ph.D., Professor of Abai KazNPU) paid attention to the topic "Improving the content component of educational programs".

The issues discussed were: "fluid society" and its impact on educational programs; topical approaches in teaching and assessment; artificial intelligence in education; some aspects of Finnish teacher education; pedagogical design of values inculcation; value orientations as a result of learning; improvement of the content and structure of educational programs.
