Rector`s meeting with students of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography

On November 21, 2023 the Rector of Abai KazNPU Bolat Tlep held a meeting with students of 1-4 courses of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography. The aim was to discuss pressing issues affecting student life, as well as the formation of the principle of openness.

Various aspects of the academic and social spheres of the university were discussed. Special attention was paid to the organisation of the educational process, its quality, issues of pedagogical practice, provision of discounts, development of infrastructure and dormitories. The expansion of English language courses and social support for active students were also discussed.

The rector noted the significance of the meeting and the value of the teaching profession. He listened to the students` opinions on pedagogical practice, shared plans for its improvement and expansion of the library fund. Important issues of creating conditions for active participation of students in scientific research and providing them with necessary opportunities for professional growth were also raised.

During the meeting, the importance of developing the university`s infrastructure, including the creation of modern laboratories and classrooms, was emphasised. The issues of improving the living conditions of students in dormitories were discussed, as well as ideas on expanding English language courses to support students` interest in international exchange of experience and knowledge. Opportunities and initiatives for providing social support to active students, including scholarships and other various measures, were discussed.

The Rector thanked active students for their contribution to the development of the university and assured that the open dialogue between the university administration and students will continue.
