A scientific seminar "Fauna of the Northern Tien Shan - the current state and problems of its conservation"

On December 13, 2023, the Department of Biology of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, in cooperation with the Scientific Research Institute of Zoology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a jointly planned event on the topic "Fauna of the Northern Tien Shan - the current state and problems of its conservation".

Purpose: to introduce students to the fauna of the mountain ecosystems of the Northern Tien Shan, the problems of its study, as well as conservation and restoration.

Scientists from the Institute of Zoology and the Animal Gene Pool Kolov S.V. and an engineer lab were invited to this seminar. Arachnology Kim L.V., faculty of the Department of Biology and students of the 3rd year of the educational program "6B05101-Biology". The seminar had methodological significance for students in the professional formation of future specialists. The students listened with interest to the speeches and actively asked questions about the scientific activities of scientists.
