Competition of artists and masters of manual art "Tauelsizdikke tartu"

On January 12, 2024 in Abai KazNPU a competition of artists and masters of manual art "Tauelsizdikke tartu" was held, organised by the Union of Ethnodesigners of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports.

The event was attended by schoolchildren, college and university students who presented their performances. The aim is to educate individuals who know, respect and are proud of their native culture, appreciate the independence of the country, as well as to reveal the abilities of talented young people. 200 young artists took part in the contest, which was held at the national level.

Chairman of the Veterans Council of Abai University Berikzhan Almukhambetov, President of the Union of Ethnodesigners of Kazakhstan Saltanat Zhaparova, Director of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sprt Taiyrzhan Iskakov, Associate Professor of the Department of "Art Education", Deputy President of the Union of Ethnodesigners of Kazakhstan Bolatbek Nurbatyrov made a welcoming speech at the opening of the event and wished the participants of the competition a good journey.

By the decision of the jury the winners of the contest were determined. In the nomination "University Painting" the main prize went to four young artists. Among them - Ayalym Sabaz, Araylym Suleyman, Nazym Dosymbek and Aysaule Shaymanova, the main prize in the nomination "Decorative and Applied Art" was shared by Damira Saginay and Nurkanat Samat.
