THE TOURNAMENT OF KOKPAR YOUTH SPORTS LEAGUE

In order to develop and popularize the National Sports Game "Kokpar" among the youth and the program «Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan`s identity» , on 5 November, 2017 at the central stadium of al-Farabi Kazakh National University took place the tournament of Kokpar Youth Sports League of the new season with the participation of Abai KazNPU national team. Over 20 shabandozes from 5 universities of Almaty City were pleased with their performance.
To maintain the morale spirit of Abai KazNPU team was attended by over 300 students of our university. According to the participants opinion the game was spectacular and beautiful, the mood was excellent.
By the result of the event, the 1st place was shared the teams of Al-Farabi KazNU and the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism, Shabandozes of the Kazakh National Agrarian University took the 2nd place. Team of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University took the 3rd place.
Kokpar is one of the most popular Kazakh games, which is spread not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Central Asia. National sports game, where dexterity, strength, courage, and dexterity of participants of the "Kokpar" are tested.This kind of sport is becoming increasingly common, because it is the only sport that can claim to unite the countries of Central and Middle Asia.
