The delegation of Abai KazNPU visited al-Farabi KazNU

On 18 November, 2017 the delegation of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University visited al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In the delegation were vice-rectors and heads of structural subdivisions of Abai KazNPU. 

The main purpose of the visit is exchanging experience in the creation of a digital university, which includes the management of teaching, educational and innovation processes.

Rectors of  leading universities of the RK  Takir Balykbayev and Galimkair Mutanov discussed issues of the construction and transformation of education systems in new conditions, the common areas of the  KazNPU and KazNU interests, new directions for exchanging experiences and cooperation between universities.

The visit of delegation began with  al-Farabi museum, where the delegation members got acquainted with  history of the formation and development of the University. The meeting continued with a visit to the Situation Center, equipped with modern communication tools, interactive data collection and analysis to monitor and monitor the current activities of the University and the "Keremet" Student Service Center, where all the necessary sectors are concentrated to provide "one window" services to trainees. Then visited the diagnostic center, equipped with the latest medical equipment, which allows diagnosing patients and remote consultation using telemedicine technology with the participation of leading specialists of the South Korean clinic "Kangnam Severance". The participants of the visit got acquainted with the activities of the scientific park, international cooperation, educational and upbringing work of the university.

Within the framework of the delegation`s visit, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Askar Khikmetov and Director of the Institute of Institute of Information Technology and Innovation Development Zhanl Mamykova presented the "UNIVER" system, where they acquainted with the principles of the "UNIVER" system, allowing to receive promptly the necessary information on all the main activities of the university (educational, scientific, administrative), thereby facilitating the adoption of more effective management decisions. Further, the visit continued with a tour of the Science Library were shown new technologies and the possibilities of their use in the work of the library.

At the end of the visit program, the first vice-rector Maktagali Bektemesov highly appreciated the work of the organizers, congratulated the successful holding of such an event and thanked for the warm welcome. He also noted that the presented service models serve as a model for Kazakhstan universities striving to ensure comfortable living conditions for students.
