Professional development seminar on the theme "INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODS IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS"

Professional expertise, as well as competent and competitive experts, are required in today`s society. To become a competent teacher, an educated specialist, every teacher must continually expand their knowledge. On this basis, an international online seminar "Innovative teaching methods in the educational process" was held from April 22 to 26, 2024, organized by the Institute of Philology, the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation in collaboration with the Universities of Gaziantep and Giresun (Turkey). The official languages of the seminar are Kazakh and Turkish.

The seminar`s goal is to examine current topics related to the use of modern pedagogical techniques and new information and communication technologies in the educational process, as well as to build international collaboration and exchange experiences with local and foreign partners.

The seminar was attended by the teaching staff of universities Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Energo University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy Of Arts and teachers of colleges, lyceums, and schools got acquainted and exchanged their experiences with updates, innovative technology, and current professional knowledge occurring in both the international and domestic school systems.

Director of the Institute of Philology, Doctor of Philology, Professor A.V.Tanzharykova delivered her welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the seminar, familiarizing those present with foreign speakers - Professor of Giresun University (Turkey), Dr. Vedi Ashkarogly, Professor of Erzincan University, Dr. Oguzkhan Yilmas, Professor of Gaziantep University, Dr. Dal Bey, and speakers from the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation. She also introduced the seminar attendees and wished them luck.

In collaboration with Turkish professors, we gave lectures on the topics and shared the experiences of professors and teachers from the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation: Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor K.Kh.Abdrakhmanova "Innovative technologies in the process of studying at university"; PhD N.N. Konkabaeva "Artificial intelligence technologies in the field of scientific research"; senior teachers K.T.Duisenova "The effectiveness of the "Close test" method in verifying students` knowledge", Zh.U.Sultanbayeva "Socrative.com "methods of using the platform", G.K. Satbai "Communicative methods of teaching a foreign language", Zh.M. Elemesova "Methods of using platforms in teaching a foreign language". They read out their reports and discussed their experiences.

The seminar was successful due to the contributions of senior lecturer D.Ashimova, who translated the reports of professors from Giresun, Gaziantep, and Erzincan universities and from Kazakh to Turkish N.G.Kospaganbetova. The head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, PhD N.N.Konkabaeva, expressed her congratulations to the speakers and participants of the seminar, and presented certificates at the end of the seminar.
