Foreign students from Turkmenistan at the Museum of folk musical instruments named after Iklas Dukenovich

On May 10, 2024, organized by the Department of Social Development and Youth Policy and the Academy of pedagogical skills "School of mentoring", foreign students from Turkmenistan made an educational tour of the Museum of musical instruments named after Iklas Dukenovich within the framework of the mentoring project "Journey to the Museums of Almaty".

Foreign students visited more than 1000 exhibits of the museum, which was the first in Central Asia and marked its place in the history of world museums as the fifth museum dedicated to folk musical instruments in the world, presenting the musical culture of 34 countries of the world.

In addition, students got acquainted with 7 exhibition halls in this museum: the Hall of the origins of folk music, the Hall of wind, percussion and noisy instruments, the Hall of Masters, the memorial kobyz Hall, the Hall of dombra and kobyz, the Hall of musical heritage of the Turkic peoples, the Hall of instruments of the peoples of the world, and received information about the history of the creation of instruments in each exhibition hall.
