III International Scientific and Practical Conference

On May 15-16, 2024, the Department of Chemistry of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography held the third international scientific and practical conference "Modern aspects of Chemical Science and chemical education: theory and Practice", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the doctor of chemical sciences, professor, academician of the main and KSMU N. A. Bektenov and Doctor of chemical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences G. I. Meirova. The conference was attended by foreign scientists and professors from Japan, Uzbekistan and Russia.

The opening ceremony was opened by the director of the Department of Science of Abai KazNPU, professor Ulzharkyn Abdygapbarova, who wished the participants and guests of the conference good luck. Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography Kulyash Kaimuldinova expressed her congratulations to the anniversaries. The management of the university presented the anniversaries with a congratulatory letter from the chairman of the management board - rector Bulat Tlep, Nesipkhan Bektenov No. 025 for his merits in the formation and development of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University "For special merits" and Gulzhamila Meirova No. 024 for many years of honorable work in the field of training specialists, put on a national robe and presented flowers.

Head of the Department of Chemistry Zhazira Mukataeva introduced the conference guests, both domestic and foreign. Associate professors of the Department of Chemistry Khanat Dyusebayev and Zhanar Korganbaeva made a Bibliographic Review of the work of professors N. A. Bektenov, and G. I. Meirova. General director of the Institute of Combustion and Metallurgy, doctor of technical sciences, professor Bagdaulet Kenzhaliyev, general director of the Institute of Chemical Sciences named after A. Bekturov, candidate of chemical sciences, professor Haidar Tasibekov, doctor of chemical sciences, professor of K. I. Satpayev University Mubarak Ermaganbetov, professor of Khustensky University, Ph. D. Tattim Shaikenov made a congratulatory speech.

An exhibition dedicated to the works of Professor scientists was also organized at the conference. At the plenary session, the speakers raised current problematic issues in Chemical Science and chemical education and shared their views on the methods and approaches used in this area.

Also, breakout sessions continued in traditional and online formats in the areas:" Features of the development of Chemical Science in the XXI Century"," Theory and Methods of Teaching and Upbringing in the modern educational space"," State of teaching fundamental disciplines in high school"," Current state and prospects of Chemical Education in colleges and universities".
