DEMO DAY of the StartUp competition at Abai University

On June 3, 2024, the DEMO DAY of the StartUp competition "Zhas Kasipker Abai University 2024" was held among university students, organized by the Department of Science! The competition consisted of several stages: application submission, technical expertise, training in offline and online forms, individual consultations, and a qualifying round. 12 teams made it to the finals.

On Demo Day, the finalists presented their startups to an expert jury: representatives of business and the University Board, and the audience. The hall was filled with an atmosphere of creativity, innovation, and enthusiasm.

The first place winners and recipients of the 1 million tenge cash prize were the "Ecolife" team with their project "Magic Pillow" - the production of pillows from buckwheat husk!

The first 500,000 tenge was won by the "zerTTe" team with a project for organizing robotics classes in the country`s kindergartens.

The second 500,000 tenge went to the "Biogumus" team, which aims to create natural fertilizers from food waste.

The 300,000 tenge prize was awarded to three teams:
The "LingvLit" team with the mobile application "Interactive Dictation" and the slogan "Being literate is fashionable!"
The "UlanKUS" team with an incubator for artificial hatching of young farm birds from eggs at home.
The "EnergyUp" team with a project for placing charging devices at the university for students and teachers.
