Representatives of Abai University took part in the IV International Endowment Forum

On October 1, 2024, the IV International Endowment Forum on «Digitalization and technological innovations in the management of the Endowment Fund» was held at the L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University. 

The purpose of the event was to bring together experts, practitioners and scientists to discuss the implementation of digital technologies and innovations in the management of endowment funds.

The forum was held with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, speakers of foreign universities (University of Minnesota, University of Michigan, Izmir Katip Celebi University, MGIMO), as well as leading universities of the country, endowments of Kazakhstan, the academic community-foundations studying endowment issues.

And Vice-rector for Digitalization Nurken Musabayev and head of the Alumni Association (Endowment Fund) Bolatbek Nurbatyrov took part in the forum on behalf of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The main directions of the forum: Digitalization and technological innovations in the management of the Endowment Fund; artificial intelligence in the maintenance of equity capital: new horizons of investment and risk management; Blockchain and cryptocurrencies: new opportunities for transparency and diversification of endowment funds; digitalization of fund management: efficiency, accessibility and scalability of modern software; sustainable investments in the digital age: technologies, social and how it helps to achieve environmental impact were held within the framework of the topics.

In addition, creative sessions with the participation of experts were held during the event. They shared their experience working with endowments, modern fundraising technologies in endowment funds, and presented digital fund management solutions. Among the experts were Elena Shchetinina, a representative of the Istoki Foundation, Aziza Utegenova, a crowdfunding platform Start Time, Artur Magdalyanov, an IT expert, and others.

It is worth noting that the Endowment is a powerful financial instrument that contributes to the long-term sustainable development of educational institutions and organizations, as well as ensures independence and stable financing of projects.
