Lecture by Professor Salih Çepni: Comparative Analysis of Qualitative and Quantitative Research

On October 7-8, 2024, the Department of Chemistry at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical  University hosted Professor Salih Çepni from Uludağ University (Bursa, Turkey) for a lecture on the subject of "Methods of Teaching Chemistry." The lecture titled "Comparative Analysis of Characteristics of Qualitative and Quantitative Research: Methodological Approaches, Design, and Practical Aspects" generated significant interest among senior students. During the lecture, Professor Çepni thoroughly examined the key differences between qualitative and quantitative research, emphasizing their methodological approaches and importance in scientific analysis. He discussed how each of these approaches can be applied in the field of chemistry, providing students with valuable insights into contemporary trends in research methodology.

Students, masters, doctoral students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions and sharing their opinions. This interaction not only deepened their understanding of the topic but also fostered a lively academic dialogue. Professor Çepni highlighted the importance of critical thinking and flexibility in choosing research methods for the successful implementation of scientific projects.
