An informative lecture on the topic was held «State symbols are a symbol of independence and national pride»

On October 30, 2024, the National Educational Center «Hakim Abai», the Orazala Dosbosynov School of Young Poets and the Faculty of History and Law organized an informative lecture on «State symbols - a symbol of independence and national pride».

The speakers and guests of honor of the lecture were Guldana Argenova, Head of the Department of Heraldic Work of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Aida Bayalieva, chief expert of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was also attended by Vice-rector for Social Development of the University Maksat Zhakau, Director of the Department of Social and Youth Policy Rakhimberdy Zhetybai, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty of History and Law Medet Azanbayev, as well as about 50 students of this faculty.

The purpose of the lecture is to convey to the younger generation information about the state symbols embodying the sovereignty and unity of our country - the Coat of Arms, Flag, Anthem and tell about the history of their origin, symbols and related legislative acts, to urge students to respect the symbols and convey the value of the state symbols of an independent country.

During the lecture, Guldana Argenova, head of the Department of Heraldic Work of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that June 4, 1992 went down in history as the day of approval of the symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasizing that state symbols are one of the symbols embodying the sovereignty and unity of any state and form an integral part of the image of the state. And she said that the state symbols of our country should be extolled everywhere, and not only within the framework of state structures or protocol events, and called on young people to respect our state symbols.

«At the same time, the most important thing is that when using state symbols, rules that comply with national standards should be taken into account. It is the duty of every citizen of the country not to desecrate the coat of arms and flag. If we know that the fall of the flag is the fall of the country, let`s wish safety and glory to our country and respect our state symbols», - Guldana Argenova said.

In addition, the lecture provided information on the current state of heraldry, the Coat of Arms and the Anthem, as well as explained the patterns of its application.
