Ways to develop media literacy of primary school students

On October 30, 2024, Laura, a 2nd-year doctoral student of the Department of Primary Education of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai Kozhakhanov KazNPU, held an online seminar for future primary school teachers on the topic "Ways to develop media literacy of younger schoolchildren". The seminar was organized in connection with the dissertation topic of Laura Kozhanova. The scientific supervisor is Professor Amina Amirova.

The seminar was attended by teachers of the Department of Primary Education of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai KazNPU, undergraduates of 1-2 courses, doctoral students of 1-3 courses, undergraduates of Makhambet Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University, teachers of the secondary school of the Akhmet Baitursynov Lyceum No. 7 in Talgar, Almaty region, students of pedagogical universities.

The seminar considered the importance of developing media literacy in primary school children and the ways of its development.
