Scientific business trip of scientists to Germany

From 21.10.2024 to 02.11.2024 within the framework of scientific project AP 19680449 Assessment of translation quality in scientific and educational spheres` a scientific business trip to Germany was held by the head of the project Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Aigul Zhumabekova and SR of the project PhD Aizhan Kurkimbayeva.

The project participants met with translation academics from the Munich Institute of Foreign Languages and Translators: Dr phil. Katarina Wenzl, Nina Wendt, with Verena Bardt, Head of the Russian Language Department of the Language Education Centre of the Technical University of Dresden, with Dr Sylvia Jaki, Head of the Master`s Programme in Media Texts and Media Translation at Hildesheim University PhD, as well as academic teachers of translation disciplines: Dr Zahra Samareh, Dr Prof. E. Lapshinova-Koltunski, visited their classes in translation disciplines, discussed the procedure of evaluation of translation quality. Meetings were also held with officials from the aforementioned universities on further co-operation and mobility.
