Lecture-concert "Jazz music — the language of freedom and improvisation" for students and undergraduates

In honor of the Independence Day of the country students and masters of the piano class under the guidance of Professor of the Department of Music Education and Choreography Lora Narikbaeva, organized a unique lecture-concert on the theme "Jazz music - the language of freedom and improvisation". The purpose of the concert was to reveal the cultural significance of jazz as a symbol of freedom and creative self-expression, as well as to popularize the musical heritage among young people.

During the program listeners learned about the history and peculiarities of jazz, different styles and great jazzmen (speaker - master`s student Saylauova Nursaule), as well as enjoyed the live performance of students piano works of modern jazz composers from the collection of L. Rudakova "Jazz pieces for piano", reflecting the spirit of improvisation and freedom.

In the program of the concert participated the best students of the piano class of the 2nd and 3rd courses of OP "Music Education" (Aripzhanov Islam, Kumar Nazym, Chong Hong Joon (Korea), Erbolatov Akniyet, Erdaulet Ұлағat, Aytinbekova Ayaulym, Erkin Әsel, Orynbasar Aytolkyn, Khairatova Lazzat, Zhumadil Tomiris and others). Students performed jazz pieces accompanied by a virtual orchestra (arranged by A. Morozov).

At the end of the program sounded the famous work of A. Piazolla "Libertango" in the performance of undergraduates of the 2nd year (Kistaubaev Aydos, Batyrbaeva Nargis, Schmidt Inkar, Sailauova Nursaule) with elements of improvisation in the ensemble of synthesizers as a result of musical and creative activity in the framework of music and digital technologies.

The concert caused a great response from the students-listeners and became an example of connecting the educational process and creative activity. And also the head Narikbaeva Lora noted the need to continue this format of independent organization of students` concert performances in the framework of passing current and final forms of certification as a tradition of instrumental training of future music teachers.
