WORLD CONGRESS TO BE HELD AT ABAI UNIVERSITY


16–On October 16–17, 2025, the World Inclusion Congress (WIC 2025) will be held at Abai University. This is the first time such a large-scale international event will be organized in Kazakhstan, and it aims to define a new stage in the development of inclusive education.

The organizers of the Congress are the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (IFIP, United Kingdom) and the HOPE Foundation (Help Others Pursue Education, Kazakhstan). The event is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Almaty city.

The Congress has also received support from such international organizations as Google for Education, UNESCO, UNICEF, IIET (International Institute of Educational Technology), Bimstec Nations Partner, Bett Show, and the International Baccalaureate. As the strategic partner of this global event, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University will host activities in five main areas. More than 70 international experts and speakers will take part.
Among them are Frederick Afrifa, an international speaker, TV presenter, and co-founder of BIG Public Speaking, a well-known specialist in public communication; Joy Elizabeth Buckner, founder of Buckner Education, consultant in inclusive education and neurodiversity; Daniel Sobel, founder of the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners, a widely recognized expert in inclusion who has worked in more than 135 countries, author of three bestsellers and over one hundred scientific articles; Aiyapparaj Mani, innovator in education, head of an inclusive school, and specialist in teaching methodology and curriculum development; and Amri B. Johnson, founder of Inclusion Wins and author of the book “Reconstructing Inclusion”.

Many other international experts working in the field of inclusive education will also attend. Within the framework of the Congress, a scientific and practical conference will be organized for representatives of higher education institutions under the theme “Pedagogical Innovations as an Important Condition for the Sustainable Development of the Education System.” The conference will feature representatives from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), the Education University of Hong Kong, Chitkara University, Panjab University of India, and other leading higher education institutions.

The International Congress, covering various topics of inclusive education, will become a platform for direct exchange of opinions with leading experts from around the world. Through B2B and B2G meetings, participants will have the opportunity to establish scientific and professional connections for partnership projects, learn about new ideas and solutions in modern approaches to inclusive education, and discuss initiatives aimed at building a global network for inclusive education.
