The opening ceremony was attended by the university leadership, faculty members, and students, who witnessed the symbolic ribbon-cutting of the state-of-the-art facility. The Agrobiostation provides a significant opportunity for students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography to engage in research and hands-on experiments. The Agrobiostation, designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience and scientific research, is situated in the village of Zhanashar, Enbekshikazakh district of Almaty region. Covering more than 38 hectares, the complex includes laboratories, a dormitory for 60 students, a cafeteria, shower rooms, sports facilities, and parking areas. It will serve as a platform for conducting field practice, implementing scientific projects, and testing innovative agricultural technologies. “Today marks a historic milestone for our university. This new facility represents another important step toward becoming a research-oriented institution. The Agrobiostation is a synthesis of theory and practice, and its opening will significantly contribute to the development of science at our university. I am confident that it will soon become a vibrant hub of practical and scientific activity,” - said Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai KazNPU. Students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography will participate in practical sessions at the Agrobiostation, while master’s and PhD students will conduct their research. Projects will focus on efficient use of soil and water resources, study of agricultural crops, and the application of modern technologies in biology, ecology, and geography. “Today is a joyful and meaningful day for our faculty. Our students now have a facility that allows them to combine theory with practice, deepen their knowledge, and enhance their passion for science. The infrastructure provides all the conditions for productive academic and research work. I believe that, together, we will turn this Agrobiostation into a vibrant scientific and methodological center,” said Kulyash Kaimuldinova, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography. The complex is located in a naturally favorable geographic area. Based on hydrogeological studies, water wells have been drilled to enable irrigation of the agricultural fields. The Agrobiostation will function as an educational and practical base to strengthen students’ professional competencies. As part of the “Clean Kazakhstan” initiative, the Ile-Alatau National Park presented 100 tree saplings to the university to support greening and ecological enrichment. During the ceremony, university leaders, faculty, and students planted trees and explored the new facility’s features. Press Service
