LAUNCH OF THE “NIGHT ORDER” RAID CAMPAIGN
The principle of “law and order” is a fundamental rule that every citizen of our country must observe. Ensuring public order and safety is a shared responsibility not only of law enforcement agencies but of society as a whole. This week, as part of an initiative by Abai University and with the support of the district police departments of Almaty, a series of raid activities is being carried out. University staff and law enforcement specialists are jointly involved in this work.
In his Address to the People of Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized: “We must build a society where law and order, education and intellect prevail. Our citizens, especially the youth, must be cultured, innovative, and creative, and the nation must remain strong and united.” In this regard, Abai University, which currently educates more than 21,000 students, is actively contributing to the promotion of law and order among young people. The university’s main objectives include protecting the rights of learners, creating a safe educational environment, and preventing violations of the law.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, more than 7,000 applicants were admitted to the National Abai University. A significant number of them are underage students. For this reason, the university and police officers have launched the “Night Order” raid campaign to monitor the presence of underage learners in entertainment venues during nighttime hours (from 22:00 to 05:00).
During the campaign, explanatory legal work will be carried out with underage students found in various locations during prohibited hours. Notifications will also be sent to their parents to ensure the safety of their children. In cases of repeated violations, parents may face fines.
The campaign aims to ensure high-quality education, establish a safe educational environment, and prevent legal violations among young people. As part of the campaign, lounge bars, computer clubs, and nightclubs across the city will be inspected. University faculty members will support the police in the Medeu, Almaly, Auezov, and Nauryzbai districts throughout November and December as the “Night Order” campaign continues.
