Vacant position:

Leading Expert of the Development Strategy Support Division of the Strategy Department

The main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

- Organization and support of the strategic planning process (holding strategic sessions based on the results of monitoring the implementation of the Strategy Implementation Plan and, as necessary, activities to develop strategic goals, work out ways to achieve strategic goals);

- Participation in the development of the University Development Strategy and in the formation of key strategic development documents;

- Ensuring control over the achievement of strategic goals (audit of the Strategy, monitoring of the plan for implementing the objectives of the Strategy and the University Development Plan, the sustainability of the functioning of the strategy processes);

- Control over the implementation of the Development Strategy in the structural divisions of the university;

- Provision of consulting services to structural divisions on the University Development Strategy;

- Qualitative monitoring of the implementation of the Strategy Implementation Plan and drawing up a report based on the monitoring results;

- Organization and coordination of work on the university`s participation in world rankings (institutional, subject, in terms of employability, etc.).

Main job responsibilities:

- Participation in the development of the University Development Strategy:

preparation of the text of the Strategy, making adjustments to it, preparation of the presentation of the Strategy;

- Organization of the work of the working group, drawing up relevant business letters, minutes of strategic sessions and meetings;

- Informing structural divisions about the adopted Strategy: posting on the university website, etc.;

- Monitoring the implementation of the Development Strategy Implementation Plan, analysis of supporting documents;

- Collection and analysis of data for entering information into databases in international rankings (QS, THE, Greenmetric WUR, etc.);

- Preparation of materials for reports on the results of monitoring and reports on the work done by the Department;

- Active participation in the promotion of the university in world rankings (institutional, subject, in terms of employability, etc.);

- Active participation in the organization of the activities of the department, the implementation of instructions, decisions of orders and orders of the management bodies of the Company, the Department.

Education:

Higher socio-humanitarian, legal, economic, technical education. Academic degree not lower than Master`s

Required professional experience (duration, scope, other)

At least 3 years, academic field, administrative experience in departments, departments of the university related to the development of strategy and participation in world rankings

Professional competencies:

1. Participation in the development of the Development Strategy, the Strategy implementation plan, university development plans;

2. Constant monitoring of the implementation of the Strategy, the implementation plan of the Strategy of the university and educational institutions;

3. Organization of strategic sessions and preparation of presentation materials for them;

4. Analysis of data for the preparation of the Report on the implementation of the Development Strategy and Development Plan;

5. Carrying out organizational and technical work on the university`s participation in world rankings;

6. Development of internal regulatory documents of the Department.

Personal competencies and qualities:

Sociability, responsibility, honesty, purposefulness, punctuality, leadership, ability to work in a team and in conditions of uncertainty, flexibility, adaptability, time management, managerial and presentation skills, developed emotional intelligence, stress resistance.

Knowledge of languages, including the state language (list of languages that the candidate must speak)

Kazakh - fluently

Russian - fluently

English - read, write, understand at least Pre-Intermediate level

Computer skills:

Fluent in MS Office (Word, Outlook), Excel, Google Drive/Docs/Meet, ZOOM, PowerPoint, Canva, working with Social Media, e-mail, world rankings database, document manager (workflow).
