Seminar «School of masters»

From 8 to 18 January of this year, on the initiative of the Rector of the University, the Winter School «Professionalism and Pedagogical Excellence» was organized for the first time in order to improve the qualifications of the faculty and staff.

The school unites 8 sessions in the following areas: «Education», «Science», «Information technologies», «Economic planning», «Management strategy of a modern university», «Academic policy» and «Academic mobility».

On 8 - 9 January 2018, within the framework of the winter school work, a seminar entitled «The School of Mentors» was held to enhance the effectiveness of the mentoring system and provide methodological assistance to mentors.

The two-day seminar was devoted to the problems of personality psychology, physical activity of youth, mentoring system. About 150 mentors of the University took part in the seminar. Classes were conducted using methods of discussion, interactive educational technologies and teamwork.

The seminar was conducted by academician of NAS RK Zhamilya Namazbayeva, professor Shamshidin Balgimbayov, psychologists Mira Ibashova and Anel Sadykova.

The final session was held by the trainer of the Center for Level Programs of the NCPD «Orleu» Kulyayhan Turdakynova. During the training, the trainer presented the presentation «Mentor`s practice as a way to improve the skills of the teacher» and talked about modern methods of organizing teaching and upbringing work.

At the end of the seminar the vice-rector for educational work and social development Zhanatbek Ishpekbayev noted the significance of this event and solemnly handed over certificates to all participants.
