The 30 of August - Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 28 August, 2018 in the Library Science Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held a round table devoted to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The organizers of the round table are the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Almaty, the House of Friendship of Almaty, CSI "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of the Akim of Almaty and the chair of APK of Abai KazNPU.

The moderator of the event was the scientific employee of the chair of APK of Abai KazNPU Bolysbek Battalkhanov.

A member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akhmet Muradov, a deputy of the Maslikhat of Almaty, Nuria Niyazova, a doctor of law, a professor, head of the chair of constitutional law of A.D. Kunaev Eurasian Law Academy, Kabdulsamikh Aytkhozhin, head of the chair of APK of Abai KazNPU, Georgy Kahn, chairman of the scientific-expert group of the APK in Almaty Mukhtarbek Shaikemelev, representatives of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and ethno-cultural associations.

The participants of the roundtable focused on the history of the creation and adoption of the Constitution of the country in a national referendum on 30 August, 1995, as well as amendments and additions to the Constitution in 1998 and 2007 and their role in strengthening presidential power, further democratizing the country and promoting reforms.
