A meeting «Country`s Future Is In Your Hand»was held
On 17 October, 2018 at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University the meeting «The future of the country is in your hands» was held. University teaching staff, students and Members of the Council of Veterans of Medeu and Almaty Districts as guests of honor took part in the event. The rector of the university Takir Balykbayev noted that such educational event of great importance is being held within the article of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev «Rukhani zhanguiru».
«Education is together with a upbringing». Both are needed for young people. «Therefore, in addition to education, we strive to make meetings that are more meaningful. Such meetings have a long tradition for young people», said the Rector. He also touched upon the work and achievements of the university, which recently celebrated its 90th anniversary.
Speaking on behalf of veterans, Kim Serikbayev, Chairman of the Medeu District Veterans Council, expressed his gratitude to the Head of the University that within a short period of time raised the level of education of the University to the highest level, which pays great attention to the upbringing of the youth and expressed readiness for further cooperation. «This university is always precious to me. In the walls of this educational institution there was presented my book "Hero`s kindness" devoted to Baurzhan Momyshuly, our ancestor. Meeting with students gives me a fresh impetus», said Kim Serikbayev. In turn, Bakir Balykbayev handed Kim Serikbayev a medal dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the University for his Active Participation in the public life of the university.
At the meeting, the students were divided into several groups, asking questions raised by their elders and presenting their views on the future of the youth, the prosperity of the country and the Message of the Head of State. They also answered questions such as: «How to connect yourself with the future of Kazakhstan», «What can you do for further development of the country?».
At the end of the meeting young people sang songs and danced for veterans. The veterans expressed gratitude to the rector and creative youth for such a wonderful meeting. He also expressed confidence that such meetings would be more frequent in the future.
