Ceremony of «Dedication to students»

On 1 November, 2018, at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University was held a solemn event for the first year student - «Dedication for students».

Opening the meeting, the rector of the university gave heartfelt wishes to newcomers. «The happy moments you have become a student of university correspond to the 90th anniversary of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, which is a great place of Kazakh higher education, this is a memorable event in your life», said Takir Balykbayev.

- You have already seen how we celebrated the 90th anniversary this October. President Nursultan Nazarbayev said: «Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University is a forerunner of the national higher education system. The University which history began in 1928 with the opening of the country`s only pedagogical faculty has become a leading educational institution. Famous national figures Oraz Zhandosov, Sanzhar Asfendiyarov, Akhmet Baitursynov, Saken Seifullin, Khalel Dosmukhamedov, Temirbek Zhurgenov and others have made a great contribution to its formation». You are the happiest generation; you are educated in the traces of hundreds of such intellectuals».

The rector talked about the students who were accepted to the university (among them 224 owners of «Altyn belgi» and 174 with certificates of honors).

«Even in the nineteenth century, the great enlightener Ybrai Altynsarin has said, «A good teacher is more valuable than anything else, because the teacher is the heart of the school», and this word is still high. We are grateful to you for the purpose of becoming «the heart of our school», - said Takir Balykbayev. - Because you are the future of the Kazakh people. I wish you good luck in bringing up the sailboat for your education».

Representative of the Almaty branch of the Nur Otan party Arman Khalbekov wished success to the students of the university, as well as Representatives of the Alpha Academy presented a grant for foreign language education.

A solemn meeting was followed by a concert of masters of art.
