Discussion of the article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe»

On 22 November 2018, a meeting was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University to discuss the article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbayev «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe».

The meeting was opened by the Vice-Rector for educational work and social development Zhanatbek Ishpekbayev, who outlined the main provisions of the article of the Head of State. In his speech, the vice-rector noted that the article «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe» allows not only to recall the rich heritage of Kazakhstan, but also to make it relevant, understandable and in demand in modern conditions. He also stressed that in order to achieve the goals, it is necessary to promote widely the huge historical heritage of Kazakhstan among students.

Professor Zhomart Simtikov, after analyzing the main conclusions and recommendations of the article, defined its position as «... priorities of Kazakh science, intelligentsia and high culture». Further: «Taking this into account, he said, we must today eliminate some stereotypes and build a new understanding and attitude. It should be emphasized, that the world still sees the benefits of the culture of the Great Steppe. Therefore, it is necessary to study and explore the history of our ancestors, originating from the depths of the ages».

Professor Borasyn Imanberdiev, head of the Rukhani Zhanguyru project office, noted that the article by the Head of State would make a significant contribution to the further development of the process of spiritual modernization of society.

The participants of the meeting, including students, actively asked questions and exchanged views on the qualitative implementation of the provisions of the Head of State`s article «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe».

A 2nd year student of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Serik Tatenov, warmly assured, on behalf of the students of the university, that young people unanimously support the article by Elbasy.

Following the meeting, Vice-Rector Zhanatbek Ishpekbayev stressed the importance of popularizing the program article among the faculty and university students, and instructed the directors of all institutions to make proposals for the development of a roadmap to promote the president`s article.
