Admission to the Abai-Verne Scholarship Program has begun

In the academic year 2023-2024, 30 second-year master`s students and five doctoral students who are preparing their thesis under joint scientific supervision will be eligible for the Abay-Vern Scholarship.

The Abai-Vern Scholarship is awarded to master`s and doctoral students to study in French or English at universities in France. There is no restriction on the choice of fields of study, nor is there an age limit. Applicants must have a letter of confirmation of provisional enrolment in a French university or research centre for their Master`s or Doctoral studies.

Master students who win the Abai-Vern Scholarship will be awarded a monthly stipend of €800, while doctoral students will receive a monthly stipend of €1200. Scholarship holders will also benefit from the allocation of university accommodation in France, a free long-term student visa and a free attachment to the French social security scheme.

Applications for the Abai-Vern academic mobility program will be accepted until 25 June 2023. Candidates are selected by a Kazakh-French independent commission. The results will be announced in mid-July 2023 on the website of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan.
