Poetic festival under the auspices of UNESCO
February 26, at KazNPU, a poetic festival «Only the noble ones are grateful» was held, dedicated to the works of Olzhas Suleimenov. The festival was organized by the Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy of KazNPU and the Department of «Russian Language and Literature».
The guests of the festival were the leading researcher of the Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures, Professor Saule Kaliyeva; UNESCO Representative in Almaty Ashikbayev Yerzhan; writer and editor of literary publications, member of the Board of the Writers` Union of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Kanapyanov.
Professor Asan Satmurzaev, vice rector of KazNPU for academic affairs, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. Professor Karlygash Buzaubagarova, a specialist in the work of the famous Kazakh poet, shared her thoughts on the poetry of O. Suleimenov.
In the hall where students, undergraduates and teachers of our university gathered, a warm, sincere atmosphere of a sensitive and attentive perception of poetry was created. young philologists were not only listeners, their sincere and thoughtful reading of poems Olzhas Suleimenov attracted the entire audience. Among the readers were our guests from the Agrarian University.
As the festival moderators noted in their speeches, (the researcher of the Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures Igor Krupko and the head of the «Russian Language and Literature» Department, Professor Saule Abisheva) the poetic festival is an important and memorable event. Such meetings help the spiritual and cultural improvement of future teachers.
