«Development of the system of internal quality assurance in universities»

On March 6-7, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held an international seminar «Development of the system of internal quality assurance in universities». The event was organized (jointly with KazNPU) by the National Office of the Erasmus+ Program in Kazakhstan, by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture of the European Commission.

The seminar was attended by the Rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbayev, the national coordinator of the Erasmus + program in Kazakhstan Shaizada Tasbulatova, top managers and experts from more than 40 higher educational institutions and other organizations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, heads of the University departments.

Rector Takir Balykbayev noted the importance of the seminar for the exchange of views, experience in the design and implementation of an education quality system, including the development and implementation of policies and objectives of an educational organization in the field of education quality and the creation of the necessary organizational and pedagogical management conditions.

The keynote speakers of the seminar: international quality assurance expert Lucien Bollaert, director of the institutional development department of the European Association of Universities Tia Loukkola, national coordinator of the Erasmus + program in Kazakhstan Shaizada Tasbulatova and other experts.

The seminar discussed the principles, approaches and best practices of building an internal quality assurance system at European universities and developing recommendations for improving internal quality assurance systems at universities in Central Asia. The experts proposed a number of recommendations.

At the end of the seminar, participants were presented with certificates.
