Spartakiada «Sport - the guarantee of health»

The main wealth of a person is health. Sport is the source of movement, and movement is life.

To form a healthy lifestyle, on the initiative of the Department for Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy and the Institute of Natural Science and Geography, on March 30, 2019, a university-wide Spartakiada «Sport - the guarantee of health» among staff and teachers of Abai KazNPU. Competitions were held in football, volleyball, chess and table tennis.

The university rector, Professor Takir Balykbayev, opened the event, he wished all the participants success in the upcoming games.

According to the results of the sporting competition in the team event with a score of 20 points, the team of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education won the third place: and was awarded a cash prize of 30,000 tenge. The team of the Institute of History and Law won the second place with a score of 28 points - she has a cash prize of 50,000 tenge. The team of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports, which gained 32 points, won the honorable first place and was awarded a cash prize of 70,000 tenge.

In addition, Yerlan Birtalayev, a teacher of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography, won the Best Player nomination, Baktygali Koshpenbetov, Associate Professor of the Institute of History and Law, Best Defender nomination, and Maksat Zhakauov, rector adviser on youth issues, was awarded the Best Goalkeeper nomination. All nominees were awarded cash prizes.

Competitions were held in the spirit of uncompromising struggle, which did not prevent the creation of a warm and friendly atmosphere between the teams.
