School teachers-volunteers at the university - an innovative format of cooperation

On June 28, 2019, the Academy of Pedagogical Excellence organized a constructive dialogue at the round table on the theme «New opportunities and concrete steps to improve the quality of a graduates of Abai University».

This professional dialogue was attended by: first Vice-Rector of the University, professor Maktagali Bektemesov, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, professor Aktolkyn Kulsariyeva, Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Murat Bekpatshaev, trainers of the Academy of Pedagogical Excellence - Aiman Berikkhanova, Sayat Ibraimov, Nurzhan Abzerov and volunteer teachers from NIS (Almaty), Regional School for Gifted children named after academician Sh. Smagulov, gymnasiums № 68, № 146, № 168, № 40, № 47.

The round table participants discussed the problems of functional literacy of students, their compliance with the requirements of the updated educational content, the idea of advanced training of future teachers, the formation of a competitive personality of a university graduates and identified specific steps to enhance cooperation between the school and university system.

All volunteer teachers who, during the last three months (April-June), conducted weekly master classes to improve the methodological skills of students were awarded with memorable prizes and certificates.
