Charity event «Road to School» was held

The action «Road to School», initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, continues on the eve of the new school year. Large companies, manufacturers, labor collectives of various institutions acquire school uniforms, satchels, pens, notebooks and other accessories for students from low-income families going to school on September 1.

This action continued at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, which supported more than ten students of boarding school No. 17 in Almaty. Having handed over the school uniform and stationery to the children, the rector Takir Balykbayev wished them to graduate from high school, study at world-famous universities and become outstanding citizens of independent Kazakhstan.

«This action, initiated by the Minister of Education and Science A. Aymagambetov, will be held not only on the eve of the new school year, but throughout the year», said Rector T. Balykbayev. - That is why our university will continue this type of charity event. We will continue to liaise with boarding school No. 17 and help children from low-income families.

Tugel Ishkalova, deputy director of general education boarding school No. 17, thanked the rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Takir Balykbayev for taking care of the students, as well as the chairman of the trade union organization Mukhtar Ibraimov, who was directly involved in organizing this business. Koktem Sharipova, who in turn spoke on behalf of her parents, thanked the university leadership.

The event was accompanied by a concert by university students.
