Abai University held a discussion of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On September 11, 2019, at the Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, a discussion was held on the Message of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev to the people of the country «Constructive public dialogue - the basis of stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan».

Vice-rectors, heads of structural divisions, teaching staff and students, attended the discussion.

The meeting was opened by Rector Takir Balykbayev, who outlined the main provisions of the Address of the Head of State, paying attention to initiatives regarding the educational system and science. The head of the university also focused on the tasks of the Message, the implementation of which will give a new impetus to the further development of Kazakhstan.

«The strategic goals that are set out in the Presidential Address to the pedagogical and scientific spheres should be promptly implemented for the successful development of our Motherland»,- said Takir Balykbayev.

During the meeting, issues relevant to all universities were discussed: improving the quality of higher education and textbooks, improving the effectiveness of science, ensuring a 60 percent level of employment for their graduates.

Keynote speeches were made by: Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation Aktolkin Kulsariyeva («Syndarly Kokamdyk dialogue - Kazakhstannin tұraktyligi men orkendeuіnіn negіzі»), head of the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law Zhomart Simtikov(«Bilik tranziti kezenindegi Prezident Kˌ.K.Tokayevtyn algashky zholdauynyn sayasi aspektisi»), director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Berikzhan Almukhambetov («Bіlіm-kogamnyn rukhani Kazygy»), head of the department of jurisprudence of the History and Law Institute Ermek Buribaev («Improving the quality of legal education»).

A. Kulsariyeva spoke in detail about measures to improve the efficiency of fulfilling the instructions of the Head of State set forth in the sections of her Message. «Our common task is to implement the concept of a «state of hearing» of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which promptly and effectively responds to all constructive requests of citizens. Only through a constant dialogue of power and society can a harmonious state be built in the context of modern geopolitics. The main feature of the section «Developed and inclusive economy» is that the economy of Kazakhstan is steadily developing, despite the difficulties of a global nature. Speaking about an inclusive economy, the President said that he understood this concept in a broader sense. The message is a rational document, systematic and accurate...», the vice rector noted.

Students, on behalf of whom the 2nd-year undergraduate student of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute Navasardyan Aram spoke, also attended the discussion.

The meeting participants actively asked questions and exchanged views on the quality implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State.
