Partner University Anniversary

In September 2019, the first vice-rector of Abai KazNPU professor M.A. Bektemesov was invited to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Novosibirsk State University. From the first years of its existence, the policy and ideology of this university was aimed at close cooperation with the universities of country. A vivid example of fruitful scientific relations was the many years of cooperation between NSU and Abai KazNPU.

The opening in 1959 in Novosibirsk of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and NSU was the start in science of 13 second-year students of our then Pedagogical Institute, who continued their studies at the Faculty of Mathematics of NSU. Among the discoverers are E. Shalbaev, B. Nakysbekov, F. Baymbetov, T. Mustafin, E. Katekov, Zh. Tokbergenov, M. Turganbaev, K. Kairbaev, B. Kuttybaev and others. After successfully graduating from Novosibirsk University, they found their way in science. Many of them have become famous professors and academicians in Kazakhstan today. They are at the forefront of modern science in our country.

Our university is proud of the Graduates of the Novosibirsk school, who make an important contribution to the development of modern science in Kazakhstan, represented by professors: the first vice-rector M.A. Bektemesova, Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics M.Zh. Bekpatshaev, Head of the Department of Informatics and Informatization of Education E.Y. Bidaibekov and others.

We hope that our traditional cooperation in the field of research, exchange of students and teachers, joint leadership of PhD doctoral students and undergraduates will have a worthy continuation and will allow us all to reach new heights.
