Polish scientists at the meeting with the vice-rector of Abai KazNPU

On September 20, 2019, a delegation of Polish guests met with the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Cooperation, Professor Aktolkin Kulsariyeva. The guests were introduced by the head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, Professor Saule Abisheva.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Institute of Russian Studies at the University of Lodz, Professor Yaroslav Vezhbinsky, who gave lectures for undergraduates and doctoral students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature.

The delegation from the city of Lodz was also represented by Dr. PhD Ivan Smirnov, a former graduate of the Abai Institute of Masters and Doctoral Studies, now working in Poland.

The meeting was attended by a Polish doctoral student recently arrived at the invitation of our university from the Pomeranian Academy of the city of Slupsk Pani Dorota Smetana-Bolvako. She will undergo a scientific internship at the Department of Russian Language and Literature for six months, attend classes, scientific events and conferences held at the university.

The conversation was attended by a graduate of the bachelor`s and master`s program of KazNPU, and now - the coordinator of the Abay Center for Kazakh Culture and Science in Slupsk Maxim Ponomarenko.

Vice-rector Aktolkyn Kulsarieva emphasized the importance of developing international cooperation not only in terms of the scientific base and knowledge exchange, but also dialogue between countries, cultures and simple people.
