2021 at the XI Summer Universiades of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the national team of KazNPU named after Abay took 2nd place in the team competition with 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.

XII Summer Universiade 2023 national team of KazNPU named after Abay won 4 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze medals, 1st place in the team competition.

Nursultan Nurseitov, a student of KazNPU (4th year), who initiated Yerkin Mukashevich Saidakov, is a world champion in belt wrestling

Abenova Arailym became a three-time Asian sambo champion and a two-time World Championship medalist.
