Short curriculum vitae:
Born in the village of Ayagoz, East Kazakhstan region, nationality is Kazakh.
In 1995-1996, he took the Koran course of Khoja Ahmet Yasawi in Istanbul, the Republic of Turkey and mastered the knowledge of the Turkish language, aqidah and fiqh.
In 1997 he graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Architecture and Construction with a degree in geodesy.
In 1995-1998 he worked as a specialist at the World Association of Kazakhs.
In 1999-2003 he worked as a chief specialist at the Military Institute of the National Security Committee in Almaty.
In 2017, received grant for studying at the Master`s program in religious philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
In 2019, Nurlan Orynbekov successfully defended his thesis on the topic "Comparative religious analysis of the Islamic education system in modern Kazakhstan and Turkey" and obtained Master`s degree.
Since 2018, he has been working as the chief specialist of the public foundation "Center for the Study of Terrorism and Extremism in the Republic of Kazakhstan."
In accordance with the requirements of the State Program for Combating Religious Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2020, he actively participated in practical activities aimed at preventing extremism, and conducted lectures in accordance with the organization`s terms.
In 2020-2023 he worked as a teacher at the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
In 2020-2023 he studied at KazNU at a doctorate degree in Islamic Studies. Dissertation topic: "The role of religious education in the prevention of extremism and terrorism: the experience of Kazakhstan"
Member of the outreach group of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the city of Almaty on "Preventing religious extremism and terrorism."
