Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography took part in the international conference

On November 14, 2023 the teaching staff of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography of Abai KazNPU took part in the international conference "Green universities. Co-operation between countries" held at Al-Farabi KazNU. There was an exchange of international experience of higher education institutions in the field of environmental education, the formation of environmental culture and the introduction of "green" administration, and the consolidation of efforts of different countries in this direction.

The event was attended by members of administration and teaching staff of universities of Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Belarus; representatives of GreenMetric, state and public organisations of Kazakhstan and other countries; leaders of the Green Movement "ECA", the programme "Green universities of Russia", mass media.

Within the framework of the conference a round table "Successful experience of universities in the environmental direction" was held, where representatives of three universities of our country - leaders of GreenMetric rating - spoke: D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University; M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University and Al-Farabi KazNU.

The head of the faculty team responsible for participation in the world ranking, K.Sh.Bakirova, spoke from our university, she told about the path of Abai KazNPU in GreenMetric, in which the university is involved since 2020 and from the 10th place today raised to the 7th place among universities of RK.
