Republican Round Table: "Gender policy in Kazakhstan: Law, realities and prospects"

February 25, 2016  "Sorbonne-Kazakhstan" Institute on base the Abai  Kazakh National Pedagogical University held on Republican roundtable "Gender policy in Kazakhstan: Law, realities and prospects". Organized by the Institute of Sorbonne-Kazakhstan, chair of "International Law", the management of educational work and youth policy and the development of the state language of the Abai  Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The purpose of the event: to attract public attention to the implementation of the strategy on gender policy, as well as to stimulate and support research activities of students and undergraduates of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

At the opening ceremony Rector of  the AbAI Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Doctor of pedgogical sciences, Professor S.Zh. Praliyev  welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful work.
During the meeting was heard  41 reports. The event was attended by Director of the Institute "Sorbonne-Kazakhstan", Doctor of Economics, G.B. Nurlikhina, academician of NAS RK, Doctor of Law, Professor S.N. Sabikenov the report: "Human rights in the modern world" about the importance of women`s rights, Head of the Chair of international law, doctor of law, professor A.A. Sabitova a report:  "Participation of Kazakhstan in the international women`s rights instruments", honored RK diplomat professor K.I. Isagaliev - "Patriotic education of youth", the lecturer from France, Mrs. Amel Ben Ruma - "Gender differences and corporate governance", the lecturer Simon Royer - "Equality of rights for women and men in the EU", professor Sh. A. Sabitova - "International law media and women", Associate professor K. Kuzhekeeva - " Muslim women`s rights," the lecturer D.N. Ergaliev - "The role of women in global politics", senior lecturers A.B. Ordabayeva - "International protection of children`s rights", S.M. Abresheva and G.T. Zhumash - "The slave trade in human beings: a comparative legal analysis", the head of department of educational work and youth policy and the development of the state language of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University A. Abdykalykov - "Current state of gender policy in Kazakhstan", Professor L.kh. Matakbayeva - "Politological aspect of gender policy", Associate Professor T.N. Chumachenko - "Women in the international policy" and others.

In conclusion, participants identified recommendations for the implementation of the Gender Policy objectives: to continue this work and publish scientific articles devoted to this subject.
