Sorbonne - Kazakhstan Institute
The Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute was established in 2014 on the basis of cooperation between the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai (KazNPU) and the Sorbonne Paris Cité University (USPS). The solemn inauguration of this educational project, unique for Central Asia, took place on December 6, 2014 in the presence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayevand President of the French Republic F.Hollande.
The international project Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute harmoniously fits into the context of the development of the higher education system carried out by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and taking into account the importance of international exchange in this area.
One of the main goals of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute is the development of higher education in Central Asia in French, with the help of programs specially adapted to the modern needs and realities of the labor market.
The Institute trains specialists in innovative methods in the field of higher education.
The training is carried out by both Kazakhstani and leading professors of famous universities in France.
The Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute has bachelor`s, master`s and doctoral degrees.
There is also an opportunity to study at the military department of KazNPU named after Abai.
For 1-year students, the opportunity to live in a dormitory is provided.
