Conducting an Olympiad of schoolchildren in chemistry and preparation for UNT

On May 4, 2020, Abai KazNPU, Institute of Natural History and Geography, Department of Chemistry held a republican online conference «On the Olympiad of schoolchildren in chemistry, features of organization of design and research activities and preparation for UNT». The participants of the webinar were teachers of regional, city and district schools.

The conference was opened by Satmurzaev Asan, Vice-rector for Academic Work of the University, and Kulyash Kaimuldinova, Director of the Institute. Presentations were made by teachers of the Department of Chemistry: Professor Meyrova Guljamila, Associate Professor Meyrmanova Aigul, senior teachers Korganbayeva Zhanar and Manapov Nurlan, 2nd year doctoral student Sagyntay Nursultan. They told the teachers about scientific projects on scientific disciplines and preparation of pupils for chemistry Olympiads, about creation of electronic textbook and about problems of distance learning. The webinar covered interesting topics.

Head of the Chair of Chemistry Mukatayeva Jazira noted joint scientific research projects have been developed between the university and school, possibilities of holding subject Olympiads and elective courses. Active participation of teaching staff of the Chair as head and expert in scientific-research works was emphasized.
